The team then went on to win the NFL Championship in 1969, but lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl. The team’s most recent appearance in the Super Bowl was in 1977, where they lost to the Oakland Raiders.

The team has had many successful players throughout its history, such as Fran Tarkenton, John Randle, Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson, and Randy Moss. The team’s current head coach is Mike Zimmer, and its current general manager is Rick Spielman.
